“The Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center announced that a total of 846 teams succeeded in establishing startup directions and attracting investments last year through the ‘CORN’ project, which is a consumer-oriented innovation startup method.

The CORN (Customer Oriented ReNovation) project is a consumer-oriented innovation startup methodology. It is designed to develop products in three stages to create products and services that meet demand by thoroughly validating items and businesses from the perspective of consumers.

Under the ‘CORN’ project, consulting consultants explain the methodology, and mentors provide one-on-one mentoring from a business perspective. Through the learning process, startup teams can save time and budget in preparing for startup and reduce the failure rate of startups.

The ‘CORN’ project, which began in August 2020, saw a total of 846 startup teams participating last year. Among the startup teams that enhanced their investment capabilities through participation in the CORN3 process, four companies in Gyeongnam Province, including Ablesoft, Asep, AG Robotics, and Goi, succeeded in attracting investment.“

“Additionally, five companies including Snack365, Team S.H., Hexcon, Kobang, and WeDo, revised their business plans through participation in the CORN1 and CORN2 processes and were selected for government support programs.

The ‘CORN’ project initiated by the Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center has attracted interest from other regional creative economy innovation centers, universities, and related institutions. It has conducted an external dissemination program called the ‘Outreach CORN Project,’ with a total of 13 institutions and 114 participants.

The center continues to operate CORN education on a regular basis this year as well. Anyone interested in startups can apply, and for more information, you can refer to the CORN project website (kcorn.kr).
