2022.11.28

On the 28th, the Korean Robot Industry Promotion Agency (Director Son Woong-hee) held the ‘2022 Promising Robot Investment Partners Day’ event at Seoul Startup Hub. This event was held as a follow-up event to the robot IR of the ‘2022 Robot World’ exhibition.

The Investment Partners Day has been conducted since 2019 to facilitate exchanges between robot companies and investors, aiming to support successful investments in robot companies.

On this day, nine robot companies and ten investment companies participated. The participating companies exchanged information through three rounds of 1:1 investment consultation sessions.

Among the attendees were seven companies participating in the ‘2022 Promising Robot IR Special Exhibition’ of Robot World, including AG Robotics and Reset Company, as well as companies from the previous year’s projects such as PCONIC and I’m System.

In addition, ten domestic VC and AC investment companies, including POSCO Technology Investment, Platinum Technology Investment, and K&A Investment Partners, showed interest in the competitiveness and technological capabilities of robot companies, along with their willingness to invest.

During the event, there were special lectures by senior companies that participated in the agency’s support projects in the previous year, introducing cases of successful investment attraction.

Kim Jin-young, the representative of I’m System, stated, “Through regular interactions with investors, I gained various ideas to attract investment. IR activities are essential for company management.” He shared investment attraction know-how with the participating companies. Following this, some participating robot companies conducted product exhibitions and demonstrations. Through one-on-one matching and communication between companies and investors, networking was carried out to diagnose company strengths and enhance investment capabilities.

Kim Seo-hyun, the Director of the Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency, expressed hope that successful investment attraction would be achieved for the participating companies through this event. She stated, “We will continue to make efforts to provide opportunities for outstanding domestic robot companies with potential and competitiveness to meet competent investors on a regular basis.”
