Receives Great Response from Beneficiary Companies“

“Changwon Special City held a ‘Regional Specialization Promotion Project (Value-up)’ achievement report meeting at the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute conference room on the 1st.

The Changwon Gangso Special Industrial Zone’s Regional Specialization Promotion Project (Value-up) is a project aimed at supporting the growth of specialized sector companies in Changwon by addressing their technological challenges and supporting commercialization efforts, conducted in collaboration with the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (Director Kim Nam-gyun).

Since July of last year, a budget of over 28 million won has been allocated to conduct pre-diagnosis and evaluation for applying companies. As a result, 21 beneficiary companies, including research institute companies in Changwon Special Zone, Innopolis Campus companies, and special zone companies, were selected and supported.

During the achievement report meeting, companies such as AG Robotics, The Clap Co., Ltd., and DX Solutions Co., Ltd., presented the benefits and outcomes of the Value-up project. Overall, the project provided comprehensive support including R&D planning and consulting, prototype production, design promotion marketing, market development, and participation in domestic and international exhibitions, which significantly aided the operation of these companies.

Kim Jong-in, CEO of DX Solutions Co., Ltd., stated, “The collaboration between the Electrotechnology Research Institute and specialized execution agencies, based on the company diagnosis report, facilitated systematic and professional support through matching with specialized mentors in the respective fields,” expressing expectations for significant contributions to the company’s innovative growth.

Kim Jong-wook, Director of Strategy and Policy at the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, mentioned, “Not only the Value-up project but also through collaboration with key projects of local related agencies, we will provide continuous support to promote the innovation-driven growth of companies and induce sustainable growth.”

Ryu Hyo-jong, Director of Future Strategic Industries Division at Changwon Special City, stated, “The city will actively support the economic value creation of local companies and strive to enhance their self-reliance, contributing to the activation of regional specialized industries.”
