The October GoVenture Forum opened as a platform for startup networking at Busan Urban Farm.

City Farmer (CEO Jeon Jung-wook) announced that on October 31st, within the Yongho Byulbit Park in Busan, the Starlight Farm, a successful joint venture forum for startup companies in the agricultural and food industry in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, was held, focusing on IR presentations and networking among four startup companies.
The joint venture forum is an open network for all startup stakeholders in South Korea, providing a platform for entrepreneurs, prospective entrepreneurs, investors, and individuals from various fields related to startups to gather information and network.
Since its establishment by Chairman Go Young-ha in 2006, monthly events for entrepreneurs have been consistently held, with the October joint venture forum being the first event held outside of the Seoul area since its inception, taking place at the headquarters of City Farmer located in Busan.
The October joint venture forum, targeting agricultural and food startup companies in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, was jointly organized and sponsored by the Venture Forum and the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Foundation’s Busan A+ Center, aiming to provide IR opportunities and facilitate investment attraction.
This event primarily attracted not only first-generation venture companies but also CEOs and employees of recently established venture companies. Various experts from the venture industry, including venture capital firms, individual investors (angel investors), accountants, and lawyers, also attended as judges.
During the event, four agricultural and food startup companies from the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region (Mr. Papa represented by Seo Jun-ryul, City Farmer represented by Jeon Jung-wook, AgeRobotics represented by Jo Kyung-sik, and Taesan represented by Kim Eun-young) conducted IR pitching. The mentoring panel consisted of prominent figures from the venture industry, such as Vice Chairman Lee Sang-hak of the Venture Forum, Manager Kim Woo-young of Nonghyup Central, Judge Choi Beom-gyu of SoPoong Ventures, Judge Lee Hee-yong of Wadiz, Judge Nam Woo-hyun of Korea Investment Accelerator, Lawyer Kwon Yong-hyun of Star Ventures, and Director Kang Min-seok of Coolidge Investment Management.
Subsequently, experts from various fields, including Choi U-ju, Director of the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Foundation, Hwang Nam-yeon, Team Leader of the Busan City Start-up and Venture Department, Kim Tae-wan, Director of the Southeast Angel Investment Hub, and Kang Min-seok, Director of Coolidge Investment Management, introduced international issues, industry trends, legal matters, and government support status relevant to startups.
Furthermore, networking opportunities allowed entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the startup ecosystem to share concerns and experiences, facilitating exchanges. Investors and venture entrepreneurs engaged in lively exchanges and discussions, fostering an environment for investment consultations.
Through the October joint venture forum, the Venture Forum and the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Foundation aim to provide more support and opportunities for startups, contributing to the successful growth of regional agricultural and food startup companies.
The event held at the Yongho Byulbit Park in Busan and hosted at City Farmer’s Starlight Farm provided a platform for entrepreneurs, prospective entrepreneurs, investors, and stakeholders in the agricultural and food startup ecosystem to exchange information and network. This event played a significant role in activating the local startup ecosystem and supporting innovative ideas.
